UHCL妇女研究50年

A visual display in Atrium II (outside library) honoring our 50 year anniversary

Women’s and Gender Studies has occupied an important place at the University of Houston-Clear Lake since it opened fifty years ago, with courses in a variety of disciplines, events, scholarships, and services for students. Through posters, flyers, pamphlets, and other materials from our archives, this exhibit documents the history of Women’s and Gender Studies at UHCL, including panels remembering Judy Chicago’s exhibit “The Dinner Party,” that helped put the university on the map, charter faculty member Dr. 格雷琴Mieszkowski, and presentations from bell hooks, Gloria Steinem, and Adrienne Rich, as well as the activities of our current faculty, alumni, and students.

The event will also offer complimentary professional headshots, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and more.

Career Preparation 校友 Panel: How to Translate Your Skills

Join us for a panel discussion with members of high-reliability organizations, including former members and trainers of the NASA Astronaut Selection Board, who will discuss how their organizations recruit, select, and train. 小组成员将解释这些 processes translate to employee recruitment and hiring in any industry. 这是一个 great opportunity to learn more about articulating and showcasing transferable skills learned inside and outside 教室里 and how to apply them to the pursuit of any 职业生涯.
